Documentary Film Screening: Signing Black in America

NC State University Libraries is hosting a screening of “Signing Black in America,” a new documentary about the unique dialect of sign language developed in historically segregated deaf communities. A discussion will also be led after by Joseph Hill, co-author of “The Hidden Treasure of Black ASL: Its History and Structure,” and Jeffery Braden, dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
