The NC State gymnastics team remains on the road when it travels to University Park, Pennsylvania for another quad-meet. The team will compete against Penn State, Cornell and EAGL foe Towson.

In the past, NC State has easily dominated No. 50 Towson. The Pack has a 9-0 record against the Tigers. Towson’s highest team score this season is 194.725 during its Own Your Roar quad-meet, and it averages 193.496 for the season. Earlier this season, Towson participated in a dual meet with the Pack, only for the Pack to outscore the Tigers 195.650-193.975. The Tigers have a current NQS score of 193.515.
The No. 64 Cornell Bears are having a lower scoring season than the other three teams that will be attending the quad-meet. With an NQS score just shy of the 190.000 mark at 189.760 and a similar average of 189.789, the Bears will probably struggle the most throughout the meet. The Wolfpack’s history with the Bears appears favorable for the Pack, with a record of 3-0. The past two years, the Pack’s scores have easily created large margins between the two teams.
The No. 23 Lions have the best chance at challenging the Wolfpack, with a tied record 2-2, with each meet being close in score. The Lions’ current NQS score is 195.745, along with an average score of 195.319. The Lions have also been pushing themselves against some of the top teams in the country. The team has a season high of 196.325, a mere 0.175-point difference against the Pack’s season high of 196.500.
The Wolfpack will begin its first event at the meet at 4 p.m.
