NC State women’s tennis has a full week planned. Both Wednesday and Saturday, the team will host doubleheaders at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
The Wolfpack will begin its busy week against Furman on Wednesday at 1 p.m. The Pack will end the day in a match starting at 6 p.m. against East Tennessee State.
The Pack last played Furman in 2017 and walked away with a 6-1 victory, the team’s first win against Furman in its history.
The Pack has had better fortune against East Tennessee State. NC State’s history with the Buccaneers has resulted in a 3-0 record, all at home, so the team appears to be in good shape for Wednesday night’s match.
With a few days rest from competition, the Wolfpack will pick up the racket again this Saturday at 1 p.m. against South Carolina. To wrap up the weekend, the Pack will finish with UNC-Charlotte at 6 p.m.
The Wolfpack’s match against South Carolina should be interesting as previous scores have consistently been 6-1, but it’s been about 12 years since the Pack played South Carolina. Charlotte doesn’t compete against the Wolfpack often but every game has resulted in favor of the Pack. The Pack and the 49er’s last matchup was in 2015 with a 6-1 victory for the Pack.
With a busy schedule, the Pack will have to pace itself between matches for the best results.
