This weekend, the NC State rifle team is traveling to take on back-to-back road opponents. In the first match Saturday, the Pack faces No. 6 Mississippi. This is a match that NC State needs to win, as its four previous matchups have ended in defeat. However, all four of those defeats did come against top-15 ranked opponents. Mississippi is also coming off a loss from its previous match against then-No. 8 Navy. 

On Sunday, NC State travels to Murray, Kentucky to take on UT-Martin in its second road match of the weekend. UT-Martin has struggled this season, with only one win in its six matches.

If the Pack can come away with victories in both matches this weekend, it can improve to 5-5 on the season.

In order to come away with these important victories, the Pack will need another strong performance from sophomore Emily Fisher, who finished in the top 10 in aggregate score in the Pack’s two previous matches against then-No. 12 Army and No. 3 Kentucky. The Pack will also be looking for senior Claire Zanti to come up with another strong performance after finishing with a top-10 aggregate score finish against Army of 1160.
