There is a lot of basketball to look forward to this week. With plenty of ACC matchups and a day of celebration for the swim team, there is plenty going on around campus.
Thursday, Jan. 16
6 p.m. Women’s Basketball vs. Florida State (Reynolds Coliseum)
The No. 9 Wolfpack (15-1, 4-1 ACC) will be back home to take on No. 13 Florida State (15-2, 4-2 ACC). The Pack lost its one and only game against the Tar Heels on Jan. 9, but won its most recent game against Notre Dame. FSU won its last game against the Tar Heels, so this game should prove to be an exciting one.
Saturday, Jan. 18
11 a.m. Swimming and Diving vs. Duke (Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center)
After returning from Chapel Hill on Friday, the Pack will compete against Duke in its last home competition of the year. This will be the second of four ACC meets. Since it is the last home competition, the afternoon will be used to celebrate Senior Day. The team has a total of 17 seniors this year.
1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Women’s Tennis doubleheader (J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center)
The NC State women’s tennis team will take on South Carolina and UNC-Charlotte on Saturday in a doubleheader. It will be the Wolfpack’s second doubleheader of the week, with the Pack facing off against Furman and East Tennessee State on Wednesday.
2 p.m. Men’s Basketball vs. Clemson (PNC Arena)
The men’s basketball team (11-5, 2-3 ACC) will play its second home game in a row when it takes on the Tigers (9-7, 3-3 ACC) Saturday. The Pack beat Miami on Wednesday and will be ready to play Clemson at home. The Tigers upset the Blue Devils this past Tuesday and will keep that energy heading into Raleigh. The fan support and home advantage should help to control that energy.
Sunday, Jan. 19
2 p.m. Women’s Basketball vs. Wake Forest (Reynolds Coliseum)
The Wolfpack will finish its two-game homestand against the Demon Deacons (10-6, 3-2 ACC) on Sunday. This will be the last game at home before the Pack heads to Pittsburgh. This game against Wake Forest will be televised by RSN as opposed to the ACC.
Monday, Jan. 20
2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Women’s Tennis doubleheader (J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center)
The women’s tennis team will have yet another doubleheader this week, this time against two in-state opponents (App State and ECU). These matches will be the last two before the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Kickoff, following which there won’t be nearly as many home competitions, so be sure to catch them while they last.
