After dealing with low candidate filing for the NC State Student Government officer positions, the Board of Elections has released students’ names for the 2018 spring election cycle.

Three pairs are running for the positions of student body president and student body vice president. Alberto Quiroga, Jess Errico and Mia Connell are running for president with their respective running mates Zach Lewis, Meredith Spence Beaulieu and Gabby Dauntain.

One pair that filed for candidacy for student body president and student body vice president was removed from the list due to ineligibility.

Three candidates have also filed for the position of Student Senate president: Adam Schmidt, James Withrow and Ryan Dunn.

Only one person has filed for the position of student body treasurer, Molly Mueller, as well as for Student Body Chief Justice, Jodi Svetaketu.

Student body president and vice president pairs will be the only candidates featured in the Student Media Debate on Tuesday, compared to previous years where other student body officers also participated.

Campaigning for candidates begins on Friday at 8 a.m.
