During week eight of the NFL schedule, former NC State players proved their ability in some close matchups. Running back Jaylen Samuels for the Pittsburgh Steelers made his first appearance on the field to showcase his rushing talents.

Russell Wilson, quarterback, Seattle Seahawks
Wilson led his team to victory against the Detroit Lions, 28-14. He compiled an 82.4 completion percentage with three touchdowns. Looking to continue his success into next week, the quarterback will face an offensive matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers when he meets his competitor, Philip Rivers.
Bradley Chubb, outside linebacker, Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos took a tough loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, 23-30. Chubb had an impressive defensive game, tallying half a sack, three tackles and one quarterback hit. He continues to be a key aspect in the Broncos defense with seven sacks and 18 solo tackles on the season.
Nyheim Hines, running back, Indianapolis Colts
Hines assisted his team in the win against the Oakland Raiders this past weekend, 42-28. The running back compiled a career-high 78 rushing yards along with seven receiving yards. For the 2018 season, Hines has three touchdowns and 238 rushing yards.
B.J. Hill, defensive tackle, New York Giants
The Giants fell to Washington, 13-20 in week eight. Hill contributed his first pass defended of the season with five solo tackles. The defensive tackle marks 17 solo tackles this year to carry onto his next matchup.
Jaylen Samuels, running back, Pittsburgh Steelers
Samuels made his first NFL debut this past weekend when he helped the Steelers defeat the Cleveland Browns 33-18. The NC State native tallied four rushes for 17 yards.
J.R. Sweezy, guard, Seattle Seahawks
Sweezy, who was drafted in 2012 in the 7th round, has emerged as a starter at guard for the Seahawks this season.
