Laura Kowohl, a senior from Kronau, Germany, was named ACC Golfer of the Month in February and with a score of 219 (+3), and has the fourth best score at an ACC Championship in program history.
The NC State women’s golf team competed in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational this past weekend. The Pack finished 13 out of 18 teams in its second tournament of the fall season with a combined final score of 898 (+35) after shooting 11-over par 299 in its final round Sunday.
The Duke Blue Devils came out of the tournament victorious as a team, shooting a 14-under-par 850.
Senior Laura Kowohl shot a three-under par 69 in the final round today, helping to cut off seven strokes of the Wolfpack team score. She finished tied for 39th with a total score of 233 (+7) and was the top performer for the Pack.
Fellow senior India Clyburn fired a 77 in her final round today to finish the invitational with a total score of 224 and tied for 43rd. Freshman Lea Klimentova tied for a share of 65th place, finishing with a 74 Sunday, her best round- and a 229 over the three days.
The Pack will return to action Oct. 26-28 as it closes out its fall campaign at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C.
