Every restaurant’s goal is to serve delicious food to the public. But when it comes to serving food, people believe that mouthwatering meals aren’t the only element a venue needs. Many look for great customer service or a family-friendly atmosphere, which is what Snoopy’s Hot Dogs has been achieving for the past forty years.
This September, Snoopy’s Hot Dogs is celebrating their 40th anniversary of being in business as a fast food restaurant. This hot dog stand has been a place where members of the workforce and college students alike can enjoy a variety of delicious hot dogs and more. Snoopy’s Hot Dogs keeps the quality of their food high, which has served them well in the past 40 years. Their anniversary not only marks the amount of time that they’ve operated their business in Raleigh, but also how long they’ve been serving high-quality food to their customers. All five of their locations, four locations in Raleigh and one location in Garner, will be participating in the anniversary.
“I been coming here for 30 years,” said Lee Lathan, one of Snoopy’s recent customers. “I like the value and the quality of the food.”
Many customers that come to Snoopy’s have been going there for years, showing that Snoopy’s has the quality that keeps customers coming back for more.
“I’ve come here for probably about eight years,” said Daniel Thompson, a customer at the Snoopy’s Hot Dogs on Hillsborough Street.
All customers, both new to the Raleigh area as well as longtime residents of North Carolina’s capital, Snoopy’s Hot Dogs is the place to give everyone of a taste of the Carolinas. Being one of the few places that still provide that taste, many customers like to go there whether it’s to try a new cuisine or remind them what home tastes like.
Snoopy’s Hot Dogs is a local favorite of the Raleigh area. Many customers agree that they have the best hot dogs around. The hot dogs have been the main menu item for 40 years and counting.
For their 40th anniversary, Snoopy’s Hot Dogs will be having a special deal to celebrate the occasion.
“We are selling half-priced hot dogs,” said LaShanda Parker, the assistant manager at the 3600 Hillsborough Street location.
From Sept. 10 to Sept 16, all of Snoopy’s locations will be offering half price hot dogs to customers.
But many customers believe that the special deals aren’t the only special part about this anniversary. Many fast food restaurants have been shutting down due to lack of customers, but at Snoopy’s Hot Dogs, they have had no shortage of loyal customers. Celebrating 40 years marks that they have customers that love to come back for their hot dogs.
“The fact that they’ve been here for 40 years is very exciting,” Thompson said. “I just really like their hot dogs, they’re probably the best hot dogs in Raleigh.”
With its home run of a menu, Snoopy’s has been keeping it real by also emulating a roadside fast food stand. If you want to enjoy a delightful hot dog at the stand or on the go, the roadside stand style works either way. Ever since the beginning of fast food, roadside stands have been around giving joy to those who love anything from savory entrees to delicious desserts.
NC State students can celebrate with them at their location at 3600 Hillsborough Street, which is within walking distance of campus.
“Y’all come and get a hot dog now,” Parker said.
