After the completion of the NFL Wild Card weekend, let’s recap the season for the Pack alumni in the pros:
Jacoby Brissett, Quarterback, Indianapolis Colts
The Colts ended their season with a 22-13 win over the Texans. After being traded to the Colts midseason after an injury to Andrew Luck, Brissett took over but only led the team to three wins. Brissett was 276 of 469 in pass attempts and threw for 3,098 yards in his first season with the Colts. Responsible for seven interceptions, Brissett also threw for 13 touchdowns and totaled four rushing touchdowns.
Philip Rivers, Quarterback, Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers finished the season on a high note defeating the Oakland Raiders, 30-10. Despite their win, victories from the Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills kept the Chargers from the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Against the Raiders, Philip Rivers threw for 387 yards on 28 of 37 pass completions and three touchdowns.
Rivers led the Chargers to a 9-7 record after starting 0-4. In his 14th season in the NFL, Rivers threw for 4,515 yards, the second-highest in the league, and his fifth-consecutive 4,000-yard passing season. Rivers finished the season with 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Russell Wilson, Quarterback, Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks dropped their final game of the season 26-24 at home when they took on the Cardinals. Wilson was 18-29 for 221 yards in the loss. The Seahawks did not make the playoffs this year after a 9-7 season.
Wilson threw for 3,983 yards, but rushed for the most yards on the Seahawk offense with 586 rushing yards but for only three touchdowns. Wilson led the league this season with 34 passing touchdowns.
Stephen Hauschka, Kicker, Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills lost in the Wild Card round to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 10-3. Hauschka hit a 31-yard field goal to give the Bills their only points of the game. On the season, Hauschka was 29 of 33, supplying 116 total points for the Bills. The longest field goal from Hauschka this season was 56 yards, just two yards shy of his career long.
Dontae Johnson, Cornerback, San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers beat the Los Angeles Rams, 34-13 in week 17 with Johnson totaling five tackles in the win. Johnson had a productive fourth year in the league, tallying 69 tackles and one interception that was returned for 50 yards.
Josh Jones, Safety, Green Bay Packers
Jones and the Green Bay Packers ended their season with a 35-11 loss to the Detroit Lions in which Jones had one tackle and a pass deflection. In his rookie season Jones notched 60 tackles, two sacks and one interception.
