Exam week is coming up, and while it can be a stressful time, NC State has policies in place so as to not overwhelm students.
Under REG 02.20.14, instructors may not administer a test or quiz or assign major work during the final week of classes, with some exceptions. Students are encouraged to contact the instructor or a department head if this is not the case.
Additionally, the regulation stipulates that no student is required to take three exams within a single 24-hour period. In this situation, students may choose to reschedule exams. To do so, they should go to the Department of Registration and Records before exams and request a form to change the date.*
Exam periods last at most three hours; however, exams themselves often do not last the full three hours.
The exam schedule can be found online. However, it is important to note that, ultimately, students should check with their instructor as to when exams are.
