Let’s face it; it’s never easy deciding what to stream. This Halloween, check out some frightening movies to get in the spirit.

“Children of the Corn” (1984)

Stephen King originally wrote Children of the Corn as a short story. The story revolves around a young couple who are trapped in a town in which creepy cult children believe that everyone over 18 should be killed.

“The Addams Family” (1991)

While this movie isn’t as scary as it is silly, it is still worth seeing. The film is based on the original cartoon series by cartoonist Charles Addams. Each member of the closely knit family holds supernatural powers and eccentric interests.

“The Exorcist” (1973)

The Exorcist is one of the most revered and influential horror movies.

“The Amityville Horror” (2005)

When the Lutz family moved in to their new Long Island house, they had no idea what they were in for. What commenced resulted in horrifying paranormal activity and murder. It’s reportedly based on a true story, but has garnered much controversy.

“The Human Centipede” (2009)

This story is not for the faint of heart. A deranged scientists attaches tourists to one another, stitching their mouths to their others’ rectums.  

“Scream 2” (1997)

Often, sequels are subpar; this film proves otherwise. Prepare for a thrilling string of killings.

“Sleepy Hollow” (1999)

Director Tim Burton delivers his archetypal twist on “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” with vibrant, yet eerie, visuals.

“Curse of Chucky” (2013)

Charles Lee Ray delivers a chilling terror as Chucky, the doll possessed by the serial killer, in the sixth installment of the cult classic.

“The Fly” (1986)

A mad scientist’s genes are scrambled with those of a fly in one of his experiments.

“The Shining” (1980)

The adaptation of Stephen King’s psychological thriller novel is often considered one of the best horror films of all time. The main character, Jack Torrance, takes a job as a caretaker at an isolated hotel and eventually becomes influenced by a supernatural force. Spinning into madness, he attempts to murder his wife and son.
