UPDATE: 1:08 P.M.
Jason Corder, a senior studying chemistry, received medical attention after being hit by a car while he was skateboarding in front of SAS Hall Wednesday morning.
Corder was riding his skateboard behind a Wolfline bus on Stinson Drive. When the bus slowed for a stop, Corder tried to go around it and was struck by oncoming traffic, according to Major David Kelly with University Police.
“We heard the sound of his body hitting the car, and we turned and looked and he was on the ground,” said Sam Perlmutter, a freshman studying marine science. ”He was clutching his leg and wincing, unable to move and someone propped his head up with a backpack and called 911.”
Corder walked away from the accident with only minor bruises.
