Raleigh Little Theatre’s Art in the Garden Festival

Hosted at the Raleigh Rose Garden, Art in the Garden is an annual art festival benefiting Raleigh Little Theatre. The event will include art in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, sculptures, jewelry, digital art and metalwork. Art in the Garden will also feature food trucks and live entertainment.

Oak City Cycling BYOB Bike Maintenance Class

Oak City Cycling offers a free bike maintenance class every second Wednesday of the month. Starting at 7 p.m., the class teaches basic skills cyclists might want to know such as how to change a bike tire or cleaning and lubing a drive train. The class also invites participants to bring adult drinks if they are 21 or older. 

Dorothea Dix Park Festival

10 a.m.-7p.m.

Destination Dix, a free, day-long festival at Dix Park will feature food trucks, locally brewed beer, wine vendors, a Ferris wheel and tethered hot balloon rides, as well as activities centered around the history of the property. The event will also feature musical performances by Durham folk band Bombadil and Raleigh bluegrass band Chatham County Line. To avoid parking issues, the city will offer a free shuttle service to the event that will have a stop at Centennial Campus.

NC Museum of Art’s 4th Annual “Big Lebowski” The Dude Abides Party

$6 nonmembers, free for members

Watch the Coen Brothers’ film “The Big Lebowski” in the grass of Museum Park with other enthusiasts. The movie starts at 9 p.m., but doors open at 6:30 p.m. for special activities including food trucks, music and, for those 21 and older, White Russian cocktails.

Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Kevin Gates and Jhene Aiko at Walnut Creek

Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa’s High Road Tour is coming to Raleigh. The two will be performing alongside rapper Kevin Gates and singer Jhené Aiko at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. The concert starts at 7 p.m. The High Road Tour is Snoop and Wiz’s first joint set together.
