The NC State women’s volleyball team welcomes new head coach Linda Hampton-Keith, as well as Kevin Campbell and Nicki Holmes as assistant coaches, to the roster for the 2016 season.
Hampton-Keith comes to the Pack with vast experience in the volleyball realm, including a five-year term with the Arizona State Sun Devils, six seasons with Texas Christian University and 12 years with the USA Volleyball Development Program.
“From the moment I stepped on campus it became clear that under Dr. Yow’s leadership, NC State Athletics has moved in a direction that supports success at the highest levels,” Hampton-Keith told NC State Athletics. “I am looking forward to partnering with the administration, our staff and our team to move our volleyball program in a direction befitting of the NC State vision.”
The assistant coaches Hampton-Keith has brought with her also have strong backgrounds as both head and assistant coaches.
Campbell is joining the Pack from San Diego State University, where she was associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. Campbell was also assistant coach in Charlotte, where she founded the Charlotte Elite Volleyball Club. ‘
Holmes left North Carolina Central University for the Wolfpack after spending two years as head coach in Durham. Previously Holmes was assistant coach at the University of Central Florida for two years.
