March for Our Lives: Washington D.C.

Protesters marched in the March for Our Lives Washington D.C. event to the U.S. Capitol to advocate for stronger gun laws. The event was partially organized by survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, which happened on Feb. 14, 2018 and resulted in the death of 17 students and faculty.

Thousands of protesters converge on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C. to protest for “common sense gun reform” on Saturday, March 24, 2018. The protest took place in the wake of the Parkland Florida school shooting.

The Newseum’s balcony overlooked the crowd on Pennsylvania Avenue and was a prime spot to view the magnitude of people at the student-led rally.
