The Raleigh Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony honors the fallen soldiers every year at the State Capitol Building. This year’s ceremony featured bagpiper Robert White, Capitol City Young Marines, and speaker Lt. Gen. Robert R. Ruark of the US Marine Corps. The wreath-laying ceremony was followed by a ceremony honoring the 39 North Carolinian soldiers who remain missing from the wars in Southeast Asia.
