NC State alumnus Mohammad Moussa will presented “Shattered Glass,” a 45-minute performance that fuses poetry, images and videos to remember and honor the lives of Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha and Razan Abu-Salha. The goal of “Shattered Glass” is to continue the conversation about the tragic loss of “Our Three Winners” and reflect on what it means for our communities. The piece is also a commemoration of the victims and their legacies. Shattered Glass is sponsored by NC State, The Light House Project and the Moise A. Khayrallah Center for Lebanese Diaspora Studies.
Following the performance of "Shattered Glass" by Mohammad Moussa, an NC State alumnus, an open forum composed of Moussa (far left), Will McInernery, Moussa's colleague, Anna Bigelow, a professor of Islamic Studies at NC State, and Farris Barakat, the brother of Deah Barakat, is held to open discussion with the audience. "Shattered Glass" is a tribute to Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha, and Razan Abu-Salha — the three victims of the Chapel Hill shooting — by fusing poetry, imagery and video into one powerful celebration of their lives. "Shattered Glass" was held in Stewart Theatre on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016.
