Fox News announced Wednesday NC State alum Lara Trump, President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, will host a new weekend show, “My View with Lara Trump.” The show is set to air on Saturdays at 9 p.m. beginning on Feb. 22.
Lara is a Wilmington native, attending Emsley A. Laney High School before her time at NC State, where she graduated with a degree in communication in 2005. She became a member of the Trump family in 2014 upon her marriage to the president’s son, Eric Trump.
A press release said the show will focus on the “return to common sense to all corners of American life as the country ushers in a new era of practicality.”
This isn’t Lara’s first bout with Fox News. She joined the network as a contributor in the spring of 2021, but parted ways in 2022 after the president announced his candidacy due to Fox’s policy against employing relatives of those running for office.
Lara embarked on the Women for Trump tour ahead of the 2016 election in support of her father-in-law and again in 2020, making stops in North Carolina each time, when she also served as a campaign adviser. The president tapped her as co-chair of the Republican National Committee in March 2024, where she served through the election until she stepped down in December 2024.
