NC State football extended an offer to former NC State defensive back Joshua Pierre-Louis, Pierre-Louis posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, Thursday. Pierre-Louis was suspended from the team in 2022 and was found responsible by the Office of Student Conduct for two violations of sexual misconduct, according to records obtained by Technician through a public records request.
NC State Athletics could not confirm it extended an offer to Pierre-Louis.
Pierre-Louis was found responsible for Sexual Misconduct (b)(II), sexual contact without consent, and Sexual Misconduct (b)(III), sexual penetration without consent. The Office of Student Conduct suspended Pierre-Louis from Jan. 9, 2023 to May 12, 2023. Student Conduct imposed a sanction of disciplinary probation through Dec. 31, 2023.
At the time, head coach Dave Doeren did not disclose the reason for Pierre-Louis’ suspension. NC State Athletics declined to comment on Pierre-Louis’ suspension Thursday.
Pierre-Louis entered the transfer portal in December 2022 and played at Iowa Western Community College in the fall of this year. He has announced several scholarship offers in addition to NC State, including Appalachian State University, Temple University and the University of Wisconsin.
