NC State men’s soccer head coach George Kiefer will not return next season, NC State Athletics said in a statement Friday. NC State Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan said the decision was mutual.
Kiefer served as head coach for seven seasons in Raleigh and guided NC State to a 49-52-23 record. In ACC play, Kiefer posted a 12-28-14 record. During the 2023 season, NC State finished 6-9-3 overall and 1-5-2 in conference play, before closing its season in a 5-0 loss to Syracuse in the ACC tournament.
“We’d like to thank George for his contributions to NC State and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Corrigan said.
NC State Athletics is conducting a national search for Kiefer’s successor.
