After a 31-point thrashing from South Florida last Saturday, many N.C. State fans have been desperately hoping injured quarterback Russell Wilson would return to the field and his starting position against Boston College this Saturday.
It looks like those fans will get their wish.
On Thursday, coach Tom O’Brien said Wilson is ready to start. “He’s practiced; he’s practiced well, so he’ll start on Saturday,” O’Brien said.
Wilson has suffered multiple injuries thus far this season. A grade-three concussion in the season opener sidelined Wilson against William & Mary, and the latest injury, likely to his shoulder, caused him to miss the South Florida game.
According to O’Brien, Wilson seems healthy and ready to play.
“It’s bad that he plays a game, a game or two and he sits out,” O’Brien said. “But he looks like he’s at full strength and he’s practiced well, so we’ll find out Saturday.”
