This weekend was a busy one for the men’s tennis team. Friday kicked off its second annual alumni weekend. Former players and their families traveled to Raleigh to spend time with and get to know the men’s tennis team.
The team and alumni played a round of golf together Friday and they played some tennis on Saturday morning. The team had a luncheon for the alumni and their families Saturday afternoon, and the weekend concluded with going to the football game together Saturday night.
“I got to bring my kids and play with all the young players,” Eric Harbor, a former player, said. “Yet, I told the guys they got to ease up on me.”
Harbor was one of the few alumni who didn’t let the weather affect this weekend. According to Choboy, a few more were supposed to come.
“The weather may have dampened this weekend a little bit, but we have about six to eight alumni who came back,” Choboy said.
Frideric Prandecki, a junior on the team, said he enjoyed this experience.
“I’m afraid this is going to be me in a couple of years, coming back to the alumni event,” Prandecki said. “College is great — it just goes by so fast, so it’s great to be able to [let the alumni] come back.”
