From the Editor’s Desk
New semester. New notebooks. New professors.
New Web site? Yes, that’s right.
Technicianonline.com is new and improved. Over the break, our deal with an online publishing company geared specifically toward college newspapers successfully went through. So we are officially revamped and enhanced thanks to College Publisher.
The new Web site is loaded with features to make things run more smoothly, not to mention look a lot better.
But, like everything, there’s a catch. And we’re going to need your patience.
The site is new, so we too are still learning how it works. Just bear with us while we get the gist of it, but feel free to let us know what you think.
We cannot improve the site without your feedback. Let us know where we can change things or what features you’d really like to see that aren’t already there.
The site already has a message board and an online chat so your voices can be heard. We really want this new site to open up the paths of communication between our staff and the student body.
This Web site should be more than that eight-page newspaper you pick up on campus. It should be a sounding board for what’s going on around campus, or what should be going on.
Another exciting feature the site boasts is an events calendar. For those super wolfpackers trying to stay abreast of on-campus happenings, this is the place for you. If you are the public relations chair for your club, organization or team, this is also the place for you. Make your event known to the entire campus with just a few clicks.
For those avid Technician readers out there, the Web site even has the capability to register users and deliver the news directly to your inbox.
So now you don’t have to anxiously anticipate receiving your campus news until you get to campus. Just check your e-mail and remember to pick up a copy of the crossword puzzle, I mean newspaper, before your class.
