SoftballSims named ACC Co-Player of the Week
N.C. State senior pitcher Abbie Sims and University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill’s Anna Evans were named ACC players of the week, marking Sims’ second conference honor this season.
Sims led the Wolfpack to wins over two top-10 teams this past weekend, throwing a no-hitter against No. 6 Oklahoma and limiting No. 2 Arizona State to seven hits in eight innings.
Sims hit .333 over the weekend, hitting two home runs, one double, notching four RBIs, one run scored and one walk.

Pack falls to Huskies
The No. 12 Washington Huskies on Sunday defeated N.C. State, 2-0 in the consolation championship game of the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, Calif.
Pack senior pitcher Shaina Ervin gave up six hits, struck out seven and allowed one earned run while picking up her seventh loss of the season. State drops to 21-11 (2-1 ACC) on the season.
The Pack will travel to Georgia Tech this weekend for a three-game series against the Yellow Jackets.

Women’s TennisPack set for non-conference finale
The Wolfpack, ranked No. 45 in the nation, today at 2:30 p.m. will conclude its regular season non-conference schedule with a match against the Charlotte 49ers.
In ACC action last Friday, State lost to No. 18 Wake Forest 4-3. Daria Petrovic defeated the No. 58-ranked player in the Pack’s loss.
