Men’s basketball assistant coach Larry Harris was arrested and charged withresisting and obstructing a public officer Wednesday night, according to a statement that the Raleigh Police Department released.
Harris was pulled for speeding and then “declined to comply with severalinstructions from the officer,” according to RPD’s spokesperson Jim Sughrue in the statement.
But according to the Associated Press, Harris’s lawyer Lee Turner saidHarris is filing a complaint for “excessive force and conduct unbecoming anofficer” against Raleigh Police Officer R.W. King.
According to the RPD written statement, a Raleigh Police officer clocked Harris going 41 miles per hour in a 25-mile-per-hour zone and he gave Harris a citation for speeding in addition to his arrest.
