Nov. 29 vs. IllinoisThe Pack hosts the Fighting Illini in the first women’s ACC-Big 10 Challenge. After the ACC’s dominance in the men’s Challenge, the top-heavy women’s ACC gets a chance to showcase its power teams as well.
Dec. 9 @ East CarolinaState visits the ECU for its first away game against the Pirates since 2002. The Pack beat ECU 64-38 last season in Reynolds Coliseum. State has not lost to the Pirates since 1982.
Jan. 13 vs. North CarolinaThe Pack’s 72-65 Senior Night victory against the Tar Heels in February was part of a late-season five-game winning streak that helped propel the team to a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. UNC got State back, though, defeating the Pack in the ACC Tournament championship game. This will be the team’s first meeting since the title game.
Jan. 20 @ DukeState knocked off the top-ranked Blue Devils 70-65 in the 2007 ACC Tournament semifinals, handing Duke its first defeat of the season. Even with a new coach, the Blue Devils will probably be able to use last season as motivation.
March 6-9, ACC Tournament in GreensboroCoach Kay Yow has hauled in more than 700 victories in her career, but if her young team is able to win this tournament, it would be Yow’s first ACC Tournament championship since 1991.
