NC State men’s basketball sophomore forward Darius Hicks will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, NC State Athletics announced before the Wolfpack’s game against Penn State Wednesday evening.
Hicks was averaging 4.3 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game before suffering the injury earlier this week in practice. Hicks scored a career-high 10 points against Bryant earlier in the season, and got time off the bench in all of the Pack’s first four games.
The sophomore from Quitman, Mississippi, has not played since Nov. 16 against Presbyterian, and did not appear in a single game of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament last week for the Pack. Last season, Hicks appeared in 21 games for NC State.
