As the current NC State football team rises to No. 14 in the AP poll, it is almost halfway through the NFL season. We take a look at how the Pack Pros are doing throughout the league.
Jacoby Brissett, Quarterback, Indianapolis Colts
The Colts were shut out this week by the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-0. Brissett tallied 231 yards passing and rushing; he threw for 200 yards in the loss and rushed five times for 31 yards.
Philip Rivers, Quarterback, Los Angeles Chargers
Rivers was on the winning side of a shutout this week as the Chargers beat the Denver Broncos 21-0. Rivers threw for only 183 yards, his least amount of passing yards in a game so far this season, but had two touchdown passes in the win. A 42-yard catch and run touchdown from receiver Travis Benjamin in the win was Rivers’ longest of the night. Rivers has totaled over 1,800 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions on the season.
Russell Wilson, Quarterback, Seattle Seahawks
Wilson threw for 334 yards in the Seahawks’ 24-7 win over the Giants. He completed 69.2 percent of his passes, but rushed only twice for 10 yards. Wilson threw two touchdowns in the win, bringing his season total to 11. Wilson has tallied 11 touchdowns, three interceptions and 1,556 yards through seven games thus far.
Stephen Hauschka, Kicker, Buffalo Bills
Hauschka kicked a 30-yard field goal against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to give the Bills a 30-27 lead with 18 seconds left in the game; that would go on to decide the game. Hauschka was three of four on the night; his longest was a 52-yarder at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Dontae Johnson, Cornerback, San Francisco 49ers
Johnson tallied seven tackles in the 49ers’ 40-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Johnson was injured early in the first quarter but shortly returned. He now has 36 tackles on the season.
Josh Jones, Safety, Green Bay Packers
Jones had three tackles in the Packers’ 26-17 loss in Green Bay. In his rookie season, Jones has 28 tackles and two sacks.
