According to police, Barry Carnell McCrae Jr. has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Quentin Quante Judd. He is currently under arrest at the Wake County Detention Center.”

The victim has been identified as Quentin Quante Judd, who is not affiliated with the university, according to Raleigh Police.
Update (9:44 a.m.):
The victim was not a Vie resident, according to Patrick Lang, regional manager of Vie Apartments. It is currently unknown whether the victim was a student of NC State.
None of the nearby apartments have been cleared because the shooting occurred in a hallway, according to Lang.
A shooting at the Vie Apartments left a 23 year-old man dead on Sunday, according to Raleigh Police.
Officers said they responded to a report about a loud party near 5900 Wolf Court, and upon arrival, discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to WakeMed, where he died from his injuries.
