Attempted robbery reported at E.S. King Village

Wednesday night at 11 p.m. the NC State University Police Department received a report of an attempted common law robbery at E.S. King Village Apartments, near Perquimans Hall.

A common law robbery in North Carolina is, according to Coalter Law, PLLC, defined as “the taking of property from a person or in the presence of a person by threat or force.”

The victim reported that three black male juveniles, each possibly between the ages of 13-15, approached him and demanded money at approximately 10 p.m. The three suspects fled the area in an unknown direction. There are no further descriptions of the suspects at this time.
