One day after being drafted in the fourth round of the MLB draft, Russell Wilson lost his father, Harrison Wilson, due to a long-term illness Wednesday night.
Russell, also the University’s starting quarterback, was drafted Tuesday by the Colorado Rockies, but plans on returning for another season of Wolfpack football before becoming a professional baseball player.
Annabelle Myers, assistant athletics director for media relations, said there are no further details about Harrison’s death.
