NC State’s track and field team will enter the UVA Challenge and Duke Invitational April 18-20.
Some of the teams invited to the UVA Challenge are West Virginia, Wake Forest, VCU, Pitt, Michigan State and Ohio State.
Senior Javonne Antoine and sophomore Michelle Cobb are signed up for the women’s long jump at the UVA Challenge.
In the last meet at the Tennessee Relays, Antoine and Cobb placed in the top 10 in NC State history.
Other competitors signed up for this upcoming meet include senior Gabriele Cunningham for the women’s 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash as well as the 100-meter hurdles. Junior Grace Gaudin will be participating in the women’s shot put.
Freshman Alan Alvarez, senior Shannon Patterson and juniors Junpai Dowdy and Cravont Charleston finished fifth in the 4×100-meter relay during the Wolfpack’s previous meet.
All four members of the Pack are currently signed up for the men’s 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash for their upcoming meet.
Redshirt sophomore Tyson Fortenberry finished his last meet in the top 15 for men’s discus and will be competing in both the men’s shot put and discus.
The Wolfpack will begin the UVA Challenge and Duke Invitation Thursday and will conclude Saturday.
