On Monday evening, units responded to a chemical spill in a lab in Biltmore Hall.
According to Michael Wells, district director of Wake County EMS, the spill began in a lab located on the third floor of the building and responded immediately to the incident. The floor was also evacuated.
Hazardous Materials Regional response team was called to take care of the incident.
CBS17 reported that fire officials are not sure what chemicals were mixed together that caused the hazmat incident.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
