With the ACC Women’s Soccer Championships approaching, NC State was placed in at the No. 5 seed and scheduled to face the fourth seed, Louisville, on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m at Lynn Stadium.
The Wolfpack and No. 14 Cardinals faced off for the first time this season Thursday evening on the road, and NC State came out on top 1-0. With the win in the Pack’s pocket, the women finished its regular-season with a record of 9-5-4, while Louisville sits with a 12-3-2 record.
After the quarterfinals are completed, the winner of NC State vs. Louisville will face the winner of No. 1 North Carolina or No. 8 Notre Dame.
Along with the semifinal match between the winning teams, No. 3 Virginia and No. 6 Duke will be going head to head in the quarterfinals, and the winner will face the team standing between No. 2 Florida State and No. 7 Clemson.
Semifinals will take place Friday, Nov. 8 at WakeMed Soccer Park (times TBA). Winners of the semifinals competitions will face off in the ACC Championship Sunday, Nov. 10 at noon, also at WakeMed Soccer Park.
All of the tournament matches will be broadcasted live on ACC Network, with live coverage from ESPNU in the finals.
NC State’s tournament play will kick off Sunday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. against the Lousiville Cardinals in Lynn Stadium.
