Even though fall break is here, there are still plenty of sports going on around campus. Support the Pack this weekend with some exciting matchups.
Thursday, Oct. 10
8:00 p.m. Football vs Syracuse (Carter-Finley Stadium)
The NC State football team (3-2) will be back home to take on Syracuse (3-2) for its second ACC game. Both teams are coming off of a bye week, so they will be rested and ready to go for a fun and exciting game on Military Appreciation Day.
Friday, Oct. 11
7:00 p.m. Women’s volleyball vs Florida State (Reynolds Coliseum)
Women’s volleyball (6-10) will go against No. 23 Florida State (9-4) in Raleigh. The Pack has not played a game since its Friday, Oct. 4 win at home against Virginia Tech.
7:00 p.m. Men’s Soccer vs Wake Forest (Dail Soccer Field)
If soccer is more your sport, the men’s soccer team (7-2-1) will go against No. 6 Wake Forest (9-2-0) for its last home game before hitting the road again. The Pack won Tuesday night against East Tennessee State in a huge defensive battle and that energy should carry over to Friday.
Saturday, Oct. 12
12:00 p.m. Softball vs North Carolina Central (Dail Softball Stadium)
The Softball team continues its fall ball play with a game against NCCU. After a narrow 5-4 win against UNC, the Pack will continue to prepare for the spring season with a second home game. Even though fall is not the main season, these games are crucial for the players to show what they can do and show fans what to expect when spring comes around.
Sunday, Oct. 13
1:00 p.m. Women’s volleyball vs Miami (Reynolds Coliseum)
Women’s volleyball will end the homestand with a match against Miami (7-5). With only a day between two matches, the Pack will need to keep focus after a very tough FSU opponent. This match against Miami will be the first of two this season. Ironically, the two Florida teams will come up to Raleigh before the Pack hits the road.
5:00 p.m. Women’s soccer vs Virginia Tech (Dail Soccer Field)
If you are able to catch the volleyball game, you should see the Wolfpack women’s soccer team take on No. 20 Virginia Tech (9-2-1). The Wolfpack tied No. 1 Virginia at home on Wednesday night.
