Daniela Patino-Zabaleta, a fourth year studying business administration and Adriana Ortiz, a third year studying business administration, share a smile at the Latinx Reveal Display on Tuesday Sep. 17, 2019. The reveal of the display was followed by a short reception in honor of all NC State Latinx community members.
From Sept. 15-Oct. 15, the NC State Multicultural Center will be celebrating Latinx Heritage Month. According to the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity, the theme is “Latinxistence” and will be inclusive of the experiences and identities of individuals in the Latinx community.
This year’s theme is centered on the reality of being a young Latinx person in the U.S. The month includes events which highlight the current issues facing the Latinx community and give students space to share their experiences with others.
Students can go to the OIED website for more information on Latinx Heritage Month events.
