Multicultural Student Affairs will be hosting a kick-off celebration for Latinx Heritage Month in the Talley Student Union lobby. They will be playing music starting at noon, and at 12:30 p.m. they will have a piñata that people can try to break open.

Kit Chapman, an award-winning science journalist and broadcaster, will be speaking about the creation of the periodic table past uranium, starting from the Manhattan Project all the way to modern-day experiments.
Global Film Series: Un Cuento Chino

The Office of Global Engagement and NC State University Libraries are hosting the second installment of this year’s Global Film Series. The movie is about an encounter between an Argentinian and a Chinese man who has just arrived in the country looking for his only living relative. The movie is in Spanish with English subtitles.

Fantasy and sci-fi authors Kij Johnson, Nebula and Hugo Award-winning author of “The Man Who Bridged the Mist,” and Cadwell Turnbull, author of “The Lesson,” will be doing readings on Wednesday afternoon in Talley Student Union.
