A piece of Reynolds Coliseum’s former floor was allegedly stolen by four NC State students and one Wake Tech student, according to WRAL.
The students include Benjamin Ogburn, a third-year studying construction engineering, Robert Marble, a third-year studying psychology, Michael Salgado, a first-year engineering student, Te-Shawn J-Quan Lee and a fifth suspect, who is still at large, WRAL reported.
According to WRAL, Ogburn allegedly stole two pieces of the old Coliseum floor, valued at $1,350, and caused $200 in damages in the process on Dec. 7. His arrest warrant stated that he was charged with felony larceny, injury to personal property and wearing a mask on public property.
Ogburn surrendered to the police on Monday while Marble, Salgado and Lee are no longer in custody after being released on bond.
The Reynold’s basketball court was renovated in 2016, but old pieces, like the two in question, were kept as memorabilia.
ABC11 reported that the pieces were stolen from a storage area at Reynolds Coliseum.
According to WRAL, both sections of the court have since been returned, but one was damaged beyond repair.
