The NC State women’s basketball team will take on the Boston College Eagles in what will be its first game of ACC play and its last game of 2019.
Boston College (7-5, 0-1 ACC) will be coming off a two-game winning streak, but has not faced a team of NC State’s caliber yet. With NC State winning the last five matchups against the Eagles, it is easy to see that NC State will have the upper hand.
The Wolfpack (11-0, 0-0 ACC) is currently undefeated and will be looking to continue its streak against the Eagles. After breezing through Chattanooga in its last matchup, NC State will be looking to breeze through Boston College as well.
Looking to lead the Wolfpack in points will be sophomore center Elissa Cunane, averaging 16.3 points per game. Senior guard Aislinn Konig, who has consistently been an impact player, headlines the Pack as well, averaging 9.6 points per game.
The Wolfpack has been averaging 74.5 points per game and only allowing an average of 51.9 for opponents. But with the Eagles averaging 80.8 points per game, NC State must look to play strong defense to cut Boston College’s scoring.
If NC State can continue to put points on the board and play a strong defensive game, the Wolfpack should have no problem shooting down the Eagles and continuing its perfect winning streak, as well as getting its first ACC win of the season.
The game is set to take place at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts on Sunday at noon.
