Graduate guard Torin Dorn announced on Sunday that he will return to NC State for his final season and take his name out of the NBA Draft.
Dorn graduated this spring and went through the draft process without hiring an agent. He posted 13.9 points per game and averaged 6.3 rebounds in the 2017-18 season.
NC State was not able to win a game in the NCAA Tournament last season, falling to Seton Hall in the first round and Dorn showed his commitment to the team on Twitter.
“While going through the experience,” Dorn posted. “I didn’t miss any workouts at NC State and I’m excited to get back with my teammates as we look to build upon last year’s trip to the NCAA Tournament.”
Returning for his last season adds more leadership and experience to a new roster compiled by head coach Kevin Keatts. The 6-5 guard can be used by Keatts in a number of roles and should add serious value with his abilities.
“LAST RIDE, LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN,” Dorn tweeted with his statement on Sunday.
