With the incoming effects of Hurricane Matthew, the university is preparing for heavy rain and potential flooding.
In the case of weather extremes, NCSU Transportation will have people on standby to put out cones or open and close gates, according to David Gregory, parking services manager.
Resident students with any on-campus parking permit may park in the permit areas of either West Deck or Coliseum Deck until 7 a.m. on Monday. This does not include the pay lots.
The section of Sullivan Drive between the administrative services buildings and Varsity Drive should be avoided in the case of heavy rain, as that area can flood with 3 to 5 inches of standing water, according to Gregory.
Wolfline schedules should not be affected, but buses will not run if the streets are flooded.
Saturday’s football game against Notre Dame is expected to run as scheduled, according to an email sent on Thursday from NC State Athletics. Athletics Communications did not immediately respond to a call for updates.
