The Wells Fargo bank on 2600 Hillsborough Street, across from D.H . Hill Library, was robbed Friday afternoon. According to Jim Sughrue , spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department, a suspect was taken into custody shortly after police arrived at 3:25 p.m .
“The subject was detained a short time after police arrived,” Sughrue said. “No charges have been filed.”
Sughrue said that the suspect’s name cannot yet be released and as the police gather more information, it will subsequently be released to the public.
