Alumnus Mitchell Rosser, graduate student in physics Alex Pronschinske and senior in biochemistry Drago Bratic, launched RaleighBarhopper.com to fulfill their need for a one-stop Web site for local nightlife, Rosser said.
“It was an idea we had when we were out barhopping,” Rosser said. “We got enough beers in us and had this good idea for a site.”
The Web site has a Bar Finder, which profiles about 110 bars in the Raleigh area, and a Beer Finder, which will “profile all the local brews and tell you where you can find them at local bars” when it is completed.
“Any possible thing you want to look for in a bar, you can,” he said. “If you’re bored on a Tuesday, and you want go out, you can find somewhere to go,” said Rosser.
According to Rosser, Pronschinske and Bratic do the designing and programming for the site they began working on over the summer.
Raleigh Barhopper will be at the Homecoming tailgate Saturday, giving out free T-shirts, and in the Brickyard Monday. It can also be found online at www.raleighbarhopper.com or on Facebook.
The group will also be at the Hurricanes game and then host a launch party at Buckhead Saloon Saturday, Nov. 3, according to Rosser.
