For hardcore gamers, The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, is just like Christmas morning, with presents in the form of new game and hardware announcements galore! We here at the Joy of Gaming are right there with you, hanging on Reggie Fils-Aime’s every word. And thus, we give you, our E3 Special!
Join me, host Rich Lepore, and my trusty co-host Tim MacNeil, with very special guest and industry insider John Sherman (setonstun.com) as we tackle the Big 3 press conferences of Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony.
Microsoft debuted their new peripheral Kinect under the tagline, “You are the controller,” and Sony threw their hat in the ring in the form of Move, a sort of wii-mote for PS3. Nintendo announced their new 3D handheld, the 3DS, and a slew of new hardcore games that fanboys and girls have been anticipating for years. We tackle these exciting revelations and more in our press conference analysis.
Then it’s on to the games, and there were a lot of great ones either announced at E3, or revealed in greater depth. We pick favorites in our all-games final segment.
So give us an hour and a half and we’ll give you E3. This truly is the Joy of Gaming!
(Also, please stay tuned to the end of the podcast for a very important PSA from John Sherman…the fate of gaming may hang in the balance!)
