The NC State track and field team will continue its spring outdoor season as it will be competing in Knoxville and Charlotte, April 11-13. The Wolfpack will send student-athletes to the Tennessee Relays and the Charlotte Invitational.
Some of the schools NC State will be competing against are Appalachian State, UNC Charlotte, Ohio State, Tennessee, UNC-Wilmington and Wake Forest to name a few.
This will be the fifth meet of the spring outdoor season for the Wolfpack, after previously traveling to UCF, High Point and Elon, as well as hosting a meet in late March.
In NC State’s last outing, which was at the Phoenix Invitational hosted by Elon University, it recorded three podium winners. Redshirt senior Lauren Evans won first place in the women’s hammer throw and redshirt freshman Mikieja Covington finished second place in the 100-meter women’s hurdles.
Sophomore William Pruden was the lone podium winner for the men’s team as he finished second in the men’s discus throw.
The events will begin at the University of Tennessee at 12 p.m on April 11, and the Invitational at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte will begin at 2 p.m. on April 12, with both events concluding on the 13.
