On Monday, a plethora of events will be held to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the Raleigh.
According to TriangleMLK, the 39th annual MLK memorial march will begin in Downtown Raleigh at the State Capitol at 11 a.m. with the march assembly beginning an hour prior.
The annual Martin Luther King noon observation will be held at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts at noon.
Additionally, there will be an evening musical celebration at 5:30 p.m. at Meymandi Hall, Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
In the Triangle area, there will be a Interfaith Prayer Breakfast at 7:15 a.m. at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel at Research Triangle Park, N.C.. David Crabtree, WRAL anchor and ordained minister, will be serving as the keynote speaker for the event.
All events are free and open to the public.
