Trudy Mackay, PhD, a professor of biological sciences and an associate member of entomology, holds a tray containing insect specimens in different conditions. She is also a recipient of the Alexander Quarles Holladay Medal for Excellence for 2015. "It feels wonderful to have received the award. It is the highest honor the university bestows. Dr. Schal and I are both members of the Keck Center for Behavioral Biology and it is really cool that both of us won at the same time," she said.
