Kaja Finkler talks about her personal experience during and after World War II, as a part of Holocaust Remembrance Day. She is one of the survivors of concentration camps and recounted her journey with her mother during those dark times. “It’s ironic when I say that the epidemic saved us,” Finkler said. The only reason she was smuggled out of Warsaw when she was a child is that the city was struck by typhoid. They all thought that the Germans wouldn’t attack a place where more than 10 percent of the population was Jewish, but they were wrong, and she was fortunate enough to be saved due the widespread disease. This emotionally touching event took place Wednesday in SAS Hall.

A huge crowd of students jam at Silent Disco in the Talley Ballroom on Friday, Aug 21, 2015. Everyone had a set of headphones and could choose from three different DJs to listen to.

Brendan Lyles, a senior studying criminology and political science, Jason Vernot, a sophomore studying business administration, Andrew Casey, a freshman studying chemical engineering, and Nathaniel Monteleone, a sophomore studying mathematics, pose for a photo because they were chosen as the intramural referees of the week in their respective sports.

NYU Pandemonium finished as 2nd runners up at Oak City Revolution, hosted by Ektaa. This Bollywood Dance Fusion took place in Stewart Theatre on April 2, 2016.

This style of dance is called Pow Wow style dancing. It is shared from tribe to tribe. It is also called the grass dance as it originates where the buffalo grass grows. The feathers on their heads represent the antlers on the grass hoppers in the grass. This dance is part of 20th Annual American Indian Heritage Celebration that took place in downtown Raleigh at the North Carolina Museum of Natural History on Saturday, Nov 21.

Emel Mathlouthi, a Tunisian singer, songwriter, guitarist and composer gave a performance as a part of NC State Live, a component of Arts NC State. She earned the nick name of "the voice of the Tunisian Revolution." Her songs move between rock, trip-hop, electronica all intertwined in Arabic vocals with oriental influences. This event took place in Stewart Theatre, on Thursday, Oct 29.

Roasted corn cobbettes with chile-lime butter and cotija cheese along with a couple of more dishes native to Latin America were a part of University Dining's themed dinners. This event took place in Fountain Dining Hall on Oct 15, 2015.

Sunny Lin and Sophia Woo are co-owners of the Pho Nomenal Dumpling Truck. They won the sixth season of Food Network's "The Great Food Truck Race." Lin is an NC State alumnus who graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Baby cows are fed water in their feeding bottles by Audrey Earnhardt, a sophomore in animal science, on the Brickyard during Alpha Zeta Agriculture Honor Fraternity during Agriculture Awareness week. It is an annual event sponsored by the fraternity that promotes awareness and appreciation of agriculture on campus. It took place on March 26, 2015 on the Brickyard.

Pho Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup is one of the dishes created by the chefs on the Pho Nomenal Dumpling Truck. It is a food truck owned by Sophia Woo and Sunny Lin who won Food Network's "Great Food Truck Race." The NC state alumni make dumplings, noodles and sandwiches on the go.
