Maggie Kane, who graduated from NC State in 2013 with a degree in international relations, serves as executive director of A Place at the Table. The cafe is set to open in November 2017. It features a pay-what-you-can system that allow visitors to pay what they are able to, pay for someone else or pay by volunteering.

The Feed the Pack food pantry is supported by the Raleigh area and is a community-based initiative that was formed to support those in need within the Wolfpack community. The pantry operates with the help of volunteers and donations from the community.

Mitch's Tavern is nestled above Global Village coffee shop on Hillsborough Street. 

Maya Krishnan, a senior studying business administration, was one of five students selected from a large pool of applicants to receive the Commission on the Status of Women Fellowship. The fellowship has provided leadership development opportunities to university students in the Triangle area since 2010 and is awarded to students based on their academic achievement, leadership experience and passion for advancing women’s rights.

Mark McLawhorn is the Creative Director for NC State as well as an alumnus of the university. McLawhorn contributes the large Wolfpack cartoon that runs in the Technician every Thursday during the football season, perhaps his most recognizable work by State students. In addition to his work with NC State, McLawhorn has also designed and illustrated educational digital toys with Launchpad Toys, and continues to work with them after they were purchased by Google in February of 2015.

Next, add hot, boiled water to the coffee grounds. Put the top on the carafe and let steep for four minutes.

The Back to School Jam took place in the Witherspoon Cinema on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. The crowd consisted over a record-breaking 500 attendees.

Participants rushed onto the stage to dance at the end of the Back to School Jam. The event took place Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in the Witherspoon Cinema.

The audience laughs as they cheer on the "Ice Cold Brothers" of Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. The group danced and told the history of their fraternity, mentioning Kevin Howell, the first black student body president of NC State. There were a record breaking 500 students in attendace at the Back to School Jam on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in the Witherspoon Cinema.

A participant from the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP) picks up Technician pens and stickers after learning about the role of the newspaper on campus Thursday, August 13, 2015. The IYLEP is a fully-funded scholarship program in the U.S. that allows Iraqi high school students and adult mentors to build leadership skills to strengthen the future of Iraq and the U.S.

Dr. Frances Graham is the Interim Director of the African American Cultural Center at NC State. She previously held positions as vice chancellor of various departments at North Carolina Central University and was the Assistant Vice Provost for Gender Affairs and Director of the Women's Center at NC State. One of Dr. Graham's professional goals is to create career fairs, offer coaching, and other initiatives in order to increase the number of Black women in executive and leadership positions in places of higher education.
